Warriors...huuh!

Aaron wanted to play football, but didn't tell us right away. Since he never asks for anything...we said that he could. Now, he's #6 for the Skipstone Warriors! I have a vision of him headlocked with an opponent at one end of the field while the game has already gone to the other end.

Here he is entertaining Aiden with "5th position, huuh!" Aiden is laughing and loves watching his brother do this!

Enjoyable outing

We took Ali, Aiden, and Kayla to the BBQ & Blues festival in Barnesville. Aaron went to a youth party at church. It was fun, but I'm just swollen and the heat makes it difficult.

He loved playing with these branches.

Ali helped me get a picture of Flat Stanley for a Kindergarten class in CT. They read the book all about Stanley. These glasses were dark enough to hide my swelling so I could go. I was trying not to laugh because it pulls the stitches, but Aiden was so cute and funny!

Daddy and Aiden had the most fun!

This lovely mark popped up on Aiden's forehead after he fell. I can tell he takes after daddy! He is climbing on everything!

Twilight

I just happened to rent Twilight for my niece when she stayed with us. Well, since watching the movie, I've read the book. I think I'm going to get the next book. Am I hooked? Well, I might just see the movie again.

Sunday moments

We are enjoying this lazy Sunday. We went to church and came home to homemade chili-cheese fries. Now, we're just listening to daddy tinker with the riding lawn mower (Murphy's law), watching Aiden crawl and roll the ball back, and watching Jon & Kate plus 8.

It took an enormous amount of coaxing to get all three together and smiling!

Daddy wanted a picture like mommy's pic.

4-H

I am so proud of Ali! She has done something that most adults would die rather than do! It's the number one fear of adults: Public Speaking. She competed against other 4-H'ers in our district and enjoyed it! She spoke about making her bulletin board and what was involved. A parent of another 4-h'er bragged on her. Anyway, I am very happy for her and glad that she is happy.
She placed 2nd in her category! Yea!

Here she is with a few of her friends.

They are waiting to find out the rest of the winners. I am a very tacky mom! After Ali got her ribbon and I got her friend's ribbon (she had to leave), we left. When we were leaving, I kicked some elderly lady's air cast and almost tripped. She was peeved!

These girls are so interesting to listen to. They are so much more pc at 10-11 than I was at 20. Looking at this picture makes me think the future won't be so terrible! These girls are our future leaders!!!!!!!

Percentile Updates

Grandparents and Great grans....

Aiden's updates are:
Height = 75 %
Weight = 70%
Head Circumference = 80%

The doctor was great. We did wait almost 45 minutes because she had to answer phone calls, but we love her and have seen her since Aaron was born. He weighed 22lbs. which I thought he weighed more.

I would love to post pics of all 3 kids, but they're not cooperating. Aaron is attached to his video games, but wants to try out for his school's football team. Ali is practicing her speech for her 4-H project competition this Saturday. We'll also have my niece and nephew this Friday and Saturday...busy weekend!

Aiden in the grass

Aiden is not fond of grass. I tried to get him to get the eggs, but he almost had an attack because the grass felt funny.

I am in love with this smile!!!!

Storm damage and easter bunnies

Here are pics of our friendly easter bunnies along with some damage to a pecan tree. I wish I could share how the big E got this down, but you'd wet yourself laughing so hard.

Walmart

I am seriously going to give up Walmart! I think I will be able to find everything I need elsewhere! Where do all of the people come from after 5/6 p.m. at night????? I mean where are they during the day? The place was packed with crazy and rude people with some exceptions (you know us;) Aiden was happy and smiled at basically everyone. I finally had to tell him that these people were strangers and he needed to fall asleep:-)

Then Erik has an encounter with a man in a beamer-money does not mean manners! Skinny dudes just can't hold their own with big guys! So, of course, skinny, beamer guy drags tail and goes away and I chastise Erik reminding him he has Aiden to think about.

Great dinner + sucky night + movie = good laughs

Bubble, bubble, bubble

Here are some pictures I'm sharing because I cannot sleep (CRCT worries). This is his first bubble bath and he LOVES it!

I know you thought I was going to blog about Jimmy Buffet-even though he's coming to town this month and I can't go:(

Oh, I also won my first game in monopoly-thanks to my nephew and Aaron!!!!! Here's what I racked up:
Aiden really wanted to play!

Scooting!

Here he is...moving! In fact, he just loves anything electric! I miss him sitting still!

Finally moving

Aiden has been content to sit or pull up. Moving has not been high on his agenda and I am very content with this! I already understand that once he begins to move, there's no keeping him in one place. It's difficult to not compare other babies his age with him, especially when others ask and I look at my other 2 children's growth. Anyway...I adore him! He is wonderful!

Inching wherever he wants to go!

Loving the t.v. equipment! BTW...the maid had the week off...look at that dust!

A picture with his mouth closed.

Wider than the sky...

Thoughts about our daily lives.
